The chief editor is appointed by the KFKI as the editorial head of Die Küste. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Jensen, senior professor at the Research Institute for Water and Environment (fwu) at the University of Siegen, has been the chief editor of Die Küste since 1 June 2021
