Kuratorium für Forschung im Küsteningenieurwesen (KFKI)

Die Küste

The KFKI publishes the journal series Die Küste (The Coast), which features articles on coastal engineering and coastal research since 1952. It covers the latest research findings and publishes reference works and special issues. Having appeared on a regular basis for many decades now, Die Küste also serves as the knowledge archive for research and engineering along the North Sea and Baltic coasts.

The entire journal series is available free of charge as an open access publication. All tables of contents, complete volumes and individual articles from the various issues of Die Küste can be downloaded below. The issues are published in house by the German Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW) and are also provided in its specialist repository HENRY (Hydraulic ENgineering RepositorY). Since Issue 87, the individual articles have been published online in advance of the print version and are given a DOI (digital object identifier). The data of the digital open access publications is made available in resources including Google Scholar, the Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE) and the German Digital Library (DDB).
